Ordinations in 2020
God touches us - both in the Spirit and literally through the Sacraments - and Ordination requires a touch, from the bishop to the candidate. Please pray for those who have been preparing for ordination this year. Especially in our diocese for those who will be ordained later this year.

Sorry about the awful face - I'm not sure why it looks like because the opening shot doesn't have me screwing my face up! The joys of varilux lenses...
Let me know if this is helpful.
You are much in my prayers.

Thursday 19th March 2020 #Day2
Blogging is something I've always avoided. In part because there's such a big difference in the effort I need to add to ensure that my writing is coherent and helpful. And I’m very conscious that I have a sarcastic sense of humour that doesn’t transfer to text at all! The Apostle James was clear about mere words (James 1.26) 'If any think they are religious, and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless.'
But, needs must in the Covid-19 crisis and I’m going to be posting regularly to offer you material for prayer or thought or simply diversion.
Worship takes place daily in St George’s, even if it’s currently closed to worshippers. This Sunday – for the first time - we’ll have the opportunity to worship together at 10h30. The service sheet can be found on the website in the normal place. There obviously isn’t any music and you might prefer to join many of the excellent broadcasts from cathedrals or clergy with greater IT skills than your Chaplain!

Facebook is not everyone’s cup of tea but, during the current quarantine, consider signing up to keep in touch with the Chaplaincy Facebook page.
